Shoppers brawl all over the country on Black Friday

Black Friday is nothing but a scam, like Daylight Savings Time. They did a study proving that less than 1% of the "sales" are really bargains. A lot of the others are prices that were raised in October than "slashed" for Black Friday so-called sales.

Plus, you can generally get the same price online and can usually get the item shipped to you for free.

And keep off my damn lawn!

I'm keeping off your lawn and away from the stores on Black Friday.

The Food Court Melee!

That's a new addition to the Black Friday festivities this year.

I'd agree with Jeff's first comment, except: "they" did "a study" doesn't give me any confidence in the information, I'm afraid. There are things that you need to see, touch, examine before buying, something which often can't be done on line. Would you buy clothes (except maybe a T-shirt) online? I haven't seen much in the way of free shipping for Black Friday on-line specials. Seems it's regular price, free shipping OR cut price plus shipping.

I didn't think you had a lawn at your apartment, but maybe there's one outside the building.... :-)

I left the house once yesterday--to pick up a prescription. I did the Black Friday thing once a few years ago with my sister. I admit I got a lot of Christmas shopping done, but it just wasn't worth it with all the crowds and bustle and every so rude and shovey... and let's not even talk about the parking situation!

Rick, we do buy clothes online! And the only ones that had to go back were some jeans Jackie bought where Amazon sent the wrong style. Otherwise we've had no problems.

Otherwise, we've bought jeans, slacks, shoes, sneakers, sweaters, nightgowns, T-shirts, socks, even a winter jacket online.
