Carol Doda, R. I. P.

TMZ.com: Carol Doda -- who rose to super fame as an OG stripper with huge breasts -- died Monday in San Francisco. She was 78.

Doda became extremely popular in the 1960s for her topless dance routines and her 44-inch silicone breasts, which became known as "The new Twin Peaks of San Francisco."

It's a sign of how much silicone we now see on a daily basis that I didn't think she looked particularly "full-figured".

/What hath all this plastic surgery wrought?

Back pain and visible creases usually at the undercurve of ridiculously, robotically hemispheric or spherical breasts. Not my (silicone) bag, certainly.

OG? Original Go-Go?

The Condor Club. I never went in but drove by a couple of times.

One other thing. San Francisco had a UHF TV station back in the stone age, channel 36. Doda did station break voice overs saying, "The perfect 36." She may have hosted movies or something else, too.

I remember driving past her place on one of our first visits to San Francisco.
